The International Design Biennale, the biggest event of 2010
This unique event in the world of design will focus teleportation.
For its seventh edition, the Biennale Internationale Design 2010 Saint-Etienne opens its doors Saturday, November 20 to Sunday, December 5, offering 12,000 m2 of exhibition and three weekends. Accessible to all audiences: family or individual, or other close relative, the Biennial will offer exhibitions, installations, symposia, conferences and three days reserved for professionals (22, 23 et24 November).
Located on the landmark site of the oldest Manufacture of weapons and the newest Platinum City Design Biennale will provide an opportunity to discover the approach of different curators and open paths of discovery. Building H, will also host a very large part of the event and the next building. An eclectic program, with the involvement of new persons will also be the time to find the event you become unavoidable as "Tomorrow is Today".
Design & Shop invites you to experience the twenty shops in the city center. Traders will receive in their stores, designs, installations and issues of young designers and artists selected by the City Design. The term Design & Shop invites you to discover a welcoming city and daring.
The exhibitions are often off the opportunity for artists and creators to invest in new places. Interventions to build artistic and poetic you discover the urban renewal under way around the city of design in the district Manufacturer Plaine Achille and invest the interstices of public spaces and brownfield sites in town. As in every edition, the Biennale is also an opportunity for museums of presenting special exhibitions.
